My initial trial of Twitter was a huge success. Too much of a success, actually. It drew some unwanted attention so I ended up closing it.
Well, Dunnik may be gone, but there is still a need to test the social networking waters, so I am taking a tentative step back into the land of Twitter. I was 1 character short of being able to register the user ID WhatAboutStephen, so I had to settle on AboutStephen. I know that most people probably won’t care too much, but there were a few people who expressed an interest in seeing some Twitter updates again.
I’m looking into different Twitter plugins for the blog, so even if you don’t actually subscribe to the Twitter feed, you should still be able to see those updates posted on the blog.
As a side note, I have been testing a nice little utility to manage my Twitter accounts. It’s called Seesmic, and it’s been around for awhile, but I’m a little late getting to the party. The Twitter website is pretty horrible, and oh-so-inconvenient if you’re using multiple accounts. I tried a couple of different programs, and settled on Seesmic. Thanks to DamitJanet for telling me about it!
