“What did you ring it in as?”
“$169.99 plus tax.”
“Yeah, but what did you ring it in as?”
“One upright exercice bike.”
“Ummm… no.. It’s a treadmill… I know I’ll probably regret this later, but it’s $400 plus tax.”
Yes, I could have walked out of there with a brand new treadmill for a ridiculously low price, but I know that I would have felt bad, and I certainly couldn’t have bragged about that. I could almost feel the little “good” and “evil” mini-Stephens on my shoulders. Once again, I let the “good” one win. Damn.
So there’s now a big box sitting in the hall. I have yet to figure out where I’m going to set it up. I think it’s going in the sun room (ie the all-purpose room that doubles as virtually anything that I need it for), but I have to make some space for it in there. I’m thinking that the chair is coming out. Oh, and the bed. Definitely the bed. Gotta make room for my new gym experience.
And then I can look at it every day while I’m sitting on the couch, stuffing my face. Maybe hang my laundry on it. Who knows. So many purposes. So little time.
