I was looking through the logs a couple of days ago, and noticed something that I’d never seen before.  A Google translation link.  When I clicked on the link…  well… see for yourself here!

I had to throw some of the words into Google to see what language it was.  Turns out that it’s Romanian.  You’ll notice if you start following links from within the site that everything is translated into Romanian!  It’s kinda cool!

Not really sure why someone would be translating my site into Romanian, but the blog post that they were looking at has to deal with 123LinkIt so I guess they were doing a little research.  The internet is an interesting place sometimes.

I saw this article on Canoe.ca this morning, and watched the two “behind the scenes” video clips of Yoda and Darth Vader recording their turn-by-turn directions for Tom Tom GSP.  Funny stuff!

The author of the article on Canoe.ca prefers the second one with Darth Vader.  I’m not so sure.  I like Yoda more, but that’s just me.  Enjoy!

This was floating around work.  I’ve never seen 4 guys stare at a wide screen monitor for so long.  Each of us were only able to count 10 faces, although there was some debate about a possible ”muppet face” on the right.  There are supposedly 13 faces in this picture.

Ohh…  just as I wrote this, a confirmed 11th face was discovered… tricky…

Just when you thought that you’ve seen pretty much everything there is, along come Personal Urns from a little company called Creative Cremations.

I love how they offer everything from regular urns, to jewelry urns for your animals and loved ones.

I was really torn trying to decide which was the creepiest of their offerings… the Personal Urn or the Cremation Bear Urn.  On one hand, you can put your own smiling head on the mantle.  On the other hand, who doesn’t love a teddy bear with a surprise inside? I think that I’ll go with the personal urn, but you don’t have to get it in YOUR likeness if you don’t want to!  They claim that they can create the urn “in the image of your loved one or favorite celebrity or hero.”  So who would I be?  I bet that Elvis is probably pretty popular.  Maybe even Michael Jackson.  I think that I’d go for something a little more unique.  Maybe Gary Busey, or Jar-Jar Binks.  Just set me at the head of the table (sorry, had to) or beside the bed.  Also doubles as a door-stop and paper-weight.  Please, though…  buy me a decent ROOTS cap to cover up that not so subtle lobotomy line.

And if I DO manage to get hit by a dumptruck, or an angry moose, good news!  I try to keep a couple of posts queued at random intervals, so the blog will keep going!  In fact, I have one queued for the spring of 2010, so you’ll have to check back periodically to make sure that you don’t miss anything.

It’s my blog insurance policy.

One of my cats likes to steal folded socks out of the open drawer and run around the house with them in his mouth.  He will actually growl a little if you try to take them away from him sometimes.

This tiger has the same look in his eyes…  He’s just daring you to try!

I was watching The View, as I always do… err… nah.. I was actually waiting for the cable guy to show up, and all that I could find on the three channels was The View.  Pretty sad, eh?  Well, Dr Gadget was on, and most of the gadgets were kinda lame, but this was somewhat interesting!

It’s the CatGenie, and it’s the perfect automated kitty litter picker-upper.  I tried linking to one of the videos on their site, but I couldn’t, so I went to the next best thing.  YouTube! Sure, we’ve all seen things like this before, but this one really looks like it would work.  And for $329, I should hope so!  (The Tuxedo package is $399)

Isn’t it unbelievable what they can come up with nowadays?

Here’s the video of how it works.  I hope Santa is listening!

And this is why I drink Coke.

Ofcourse, I’m trying to cut back on my Coke consumption (gee, that just sounds wrong), so maybe if *I* found some pieces of frog blob in my next can of Coke, it might deter me a little.

Nah…

DragoI know I’m getting old when my kids want toys that I’ve never even heard of before.  Take the case of the illusive Drago, Leader of the Bakugan.  The what?  Exactly!

Dragonoid (or Drago, as my son calls him) is part of a collection of toys called Bakugans.  I’d never heard of these before, but apparently they’re all the rage… atleast with my kids.  I’m guessing that this is a Japanese import of some sort.  I looked at the toys.  They all looked pretty much the same to me.

I searched through Walmart and Toys ‘R Us for Drago, but only managed to find a Drago figure, not the actual moving toy.

“That’s ok, Daddy.  You can get it for me next time”, he said, after I gave him the figure.

Ahhh… so understanding…
