It’s 6:40am at the time of this writing, and I’m putting the finishing touches on my English paper, which is due in 3 hours and 20 mins. I still need to print it off, and get to the university. Not a problem. Then again, my laptop DID freeze solid once, which gave me quite a scare. I hastily jotted down everything I could see on the screen in chicken scratch on a piece of paper before flicking the switch. Thankfully, the auto save function was working properly, and I lost half a line, instead of half my essay. Because no one wants to have to re-write a comparison of the gothic elements in “The Cask of Amontillado” and “A Rose for Emily”. It’s just never as good the second time. And actually, I think that I’ve written a damn good essay. This one was more “argument” than simply stating facts from the book, so I got a chance to use some creative comments… “death’s merciful touch” was something that I was particularly proud of. Oh, and something about descending into madness. I was on a roll.
Of course, this is the same guy who yesterday thought that it was a good idea to crush someone he cares deeply about. It’s amazing how the guilt begins to creep in around 3am.
Should be an interesting couple of days.
Ah well. Time to pack up and get going. At some point today I need to find a couple of hours to get some sleep.
