*sigh*
OK… let’s just get this out of the way right up front… I am a creature of habit. I don’t always do well with “Change For Change’s Sake”… ESPECIALLY when it comes to the following topic… women’s hair.
Last night I sat down to watch two episodes of Glee… Season 2 episodes 1 and 2… It didn’t take me long to notice something horrible… Rachel had dramatically changed her look!
This is what she used to look like…
How do they refer to her on the show? That her style is something like a cross between a toddler and a grand mother? Not very flattering, but that’s ok…
Imagine my horror as I got comfortable on the couch and discovered that this is what she had done over the summer break!
She grew bangs! Don’t get me wrong… I have nothing against bangs. But it just looks so different from her previous look… It doesn’t even look like the same girl to me! I had been joking prior to the Britney episode that I was afraid that one of the actresses might shave her head… when I saw the “new” Rachel, I was almost hoping that it was going to be her! (The Britney episode was awesome, btw.. and no one shaved their head)
I’m not really happy about this change… It was very distracting and took away from everything else that was happening in the story line.
Not happy…

I actually like her new hair do, and I watched glee for the first time last night it was pretty good, so maybe I should watch season 1 and catch up….
i HATED the Britney episode. HATED. IT.
i guess it doesn’t help that i can’t stand Britney Spears’ music…but after about 20 minutes of the episode i almost couldn’t bear to watch any more of it. the only reason i stuck with it was because i was HOPING it would advance the story-line a bit, and it barely even did that. Rachel being uber-bitch is sort of getting on my nerves too, and we’re only 2 episodes into the season. and yeah, her bangs look horrible…somehow her nose looks even bigger. i dunno, i like Lea Michele’s voice on show tunes, but she’s just not a pop singer. she comes from a Broadway background, and she absolutely shines on show tunes, but her voice is annoying on anything else.
Brittany was awesome though. i’ve always said she’s had the funniest lines, and i loved seeing more of her character. but the whole episode was so horrible for me to endure.
Looks like i’ll be sitting with a box of tissues for next week’s episode though, omg.

I do agree with most things that you said, except this… I personally believe that Lea Michele can sing anything. She’s a standout among a cast of decent singers… I don’t care for the new look at all, but the voice is still there. Yes, her background is in Broadway, but I don’t think that shows at all when she’s doing other genres… I’ve said before that I would gladly buy anything that she put out… I just hope that she doesn’t have the new look on the CD cover! Quite simply.. she’s amazing…
I missed what’s coming next week. Why the tissues?
